Geographic Background of the reshman Students nrolled in Geography Program of Universities I: Main Lines of Geography ducation in General Secondary ducation Institutions

Abstract

<p style="text-align:justify">Characteristic eatures of Geography ducation in General Secondary ducation Institutions are examined in accordance with two different reasons. One is; to spot the background Geography knowledge of the universty students during their seconder/ education. The other is to determine the changing perspectives on Geography ducation and their results, during the on going general reconstruction of Turkish National ducation. As a result, General Secondary ducation Institutions, Geography teachers, students, cirriculums and coursebook are presented In their present forms and features.</p>
